The Exam Process

The Functional Naturopathic Exam is the single best way to assess your entire health, thereby getting to the root cause quickly. Our goal is to investigate each and every organ and body system, to get a complete picture. Common root cause findings from the exam include:

gut inflammation
hormonal imbalance
adrenal fatigue
parasitic, fungal, and bacterial infections
Lyme and coinfections
chronic Epstein-Barr infection
food intolerance and sensitivities
limbic system dysfunction
histamine intolerance/mast cell activation syndrome

We also commonly see toxic chemical overload, which includes EMF toxicity, emotional toxicity, excessive gut permeability (“leaky gut”), and heavy metal toxicity. Common body systems that are often in poor shape are the lymphatic, detox, elimination, immune, and metabolic systems, plus neuroinflammation (“brain fog”).

As for our testing modalities, we dig much deeper and broader than the typical blood panels ordered by your conventional providers. While blood panels provide some insight, they reveal less than 10% of your total health challenges. We must dig far beyond blood studies to find the root cause of your conditions.

The Exam Process Includes the Following Tests:

Blood Microscopy (Live Blood Analysis) – a tiny blood specimen viewed at up to a magnification of 4,000X; indicated for assessing the current state of the body. Patients will see their blood health on the monitor in real time. The doctor will analyze crucial factors such as clotting risk, infection, toxin burden, and organ function, to name a few.
Reams Biological Theory of Ionization (RBTI) – urine and saliva assay; indicated for functional metabolic and detoxification status.
UA – urine analysis; indicated for functional metabolic status and infection.
Iridology – high definition photography of the iris; indicated for genetic predisposition and functional status of metabolism, detoxification, autonomic nervous system, and endocrine pathways.
Bioenergetic/quantum medicine scanning – biofeedback software system; indicated for assessing the terrain of the entire body, including potential infections, toxins, dysfunctional organs, neoplasms, psychological disturbances, and tissue quality. This platform can test over 100,000 aspects of the body!
Physical Readiness – gentle, full body range of motion testing; indicated for assessing the body for balance, strength/weakness, joint subluxation, breathing pattern, and assessment of chronic pain.
Document Review – the doctor will review all patient-submitted scientific studies, imaging, and reports of findings by any provider, regardless of credentials. Examples are blood reports (CBC/CMP) and radiological reports (MRI/CT).
Custom Report of Findings – the doctor will produce a comprehensive report of all the items of concern from the entire examination process, both in electronic and hard copy.

Using your health history and exam findings from the above tests, the doctor will perform Clinical Triangulation to correlate all this information. To wrap up the exam, the doctor will meet with you, review key findings, and most importantly, provide the root causes of your health challenges once and for all. You will leave the exam feeling empowered for the first time, maybe ever. After all the suffering and dead ends, you will finally have the missing knowledge that you have been seeking.
